The Willie Thorne Golf Classic was held this year at The West Midlands Golf Club at Barston followed by the Prize Giving dinner and entertainment at Nailcote Hall Hotel in Berkswell, Nr Coventry 21 teams competed for The Willie Thorne Golf Classic Trophy  Bob Champion and Keiron Thorne enjoy the sunshine on the golf course having just completed their round A very special anniversary year for Bob. It was 25 years ago that he won The Grand National on Aldaniti. The Bob Champion Cancer Trust once again was our benefiting charity. Helping fund reseach into Prostate Cancer  Bernadette Maddocks - Corporate Leader of Stratstone Group - Volvo Franchise at the prize giving reception at Nailcote Hall with her guests - Stan Ayling OBE, Colin Blake and David Haig  Supporting his good friend Willie Thorne was another snooker legend Dennis Taylor.  Comedian Mal Rich and Sue Smith Proprietor of 1st Events celebrate with Willie Thorne The Winning Team was presented with the trophy by Andrew Rogers of Stratstone Group - Volvo Franchise The team Captained by Frances Spargo hold the trophy for a year. Other team members with Frances are Vito Albanese, Alan Miles, and Jeremy Clements. Our Congratulations go to them and we look forward to them defending their title next year!
